Today’s challenge will be about my favourite books. I have a lot, so get ready!Since I was a child, I loved reading. Fantasy was my favourite genre. I could get lost in books for hours. Even now, that passion for reading is still there! I’ll share a few of my all time favourite book series!
Hush Hush – Becka Fitzpatrick
This has got to be my favourite series ever. I have read the books a thousand times and I never get bored of it. The tension between Patch and Nora is to die for. I love it a lot. It’s a young adult fantasy book. There are four books in this serie. It’s amazing, you have to read it!
Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.
Charley Davidson – Darynda Jones
This book series is amazing. I love everything about it. I always call it the grave series, because all the titles have the word grave in it. I love how the titles are part of the story and have meaning behind them. The relationship between the main characters is addicting to read about. The humor is sarcastic and the suspense is just right. There are currently 9 books out and the 10th one will come out in May 2016!
Charlotte “Charley” Davidson, a part-time private investigator helping the police with her ability to contact the dead in her full-time role as the Grim Reaper, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in a paranormal romantic suspense series. PS: her boyfriend is the son of Satan.
The Wolves of Mercy Falls – Maggie Stiefvater
It was a very long time ago that I read these books, but God did I fall in love with them. Each chapter is written in another characters point of view. This way, you get to know who everybody is and what their stories are.
For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can’t seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human… until the cold makes him shift back again
Extra! I haven’t read this book yet, but I most defenitly will. It’s the story of the 2 side characters form the Mercy Falls series. They were my main OTP and I loved them so much! It’s about Cole and Isabelle after what happened in the third book.
Cole St. Clair has come to California for one reason: to get Isabel Culpeper back. She fled from his damaged, drained life, and damaged and drained it even more. He doesn’t just want her. He needs her.
Shatter Me – Tahereh Mafi
THESE BOOKS WILL END YOU. THEY ARE SO EMOTIONAL. They way that it’s written is just beautiful. I don’t know how to explain it. It had been a while since I read them, but God was I in love with the story. Also, the covers are breathtaking.
“You can’t touch me,” I whisper.
I’m lying, is what I don’t tell him.
He can touch me, is what I’ll never tell him.
But things happen when people touch me.
Last but not least, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Claire!
I am very well aware that there is a lot of controversy about the books. Especially about the author. I didn’t know all that crap before I started reading the books. I never really look at the author and more to the story line. I must say that TMI has to be the fandom that I was the most obsessed with. I still am! I loved the books. All 6 of them. Though, I’m not going to read Lady Midnight and the Bane Chronicles or TID. TMI was good enough for me. I actually really enjoyed the movie. ( Because Robert Sheehan and Godfrey Gao were in it) I do get why a lot of people disliked it though. Also I’m watching The Shadowhunters. I’m happy the fandom stayed alive.
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder― much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing―not even a smear of blood―to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
Those were my favourite book series! This post makes me realize I haven’t read a book in a very long. I just don’t have the money to buy books nor the time to read them. It makes me really sad… I’ll try to make time for reading soon. I have a big list of books I need to read.
Tell me about your favourite books!
